So what is InterVarsity, a sports club?
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA, is an evangelical and interdenominational campus ministry. InterVarsity (most people just call us 'IV') is active on more than 600 college and university campuses nationwide.
InterVarsity—meaning between universities—traces its roots to a movement of British university students in the 1870s. The first InterVarsity chapter in the United States began in 1938 at the University of Michigan. Since InterVarsity was incorporated in 1941, thousands of students have become thoughtful representatives of God’s kingdom and have moved into leadership roles in churches, organizations, corporations and agencies around the world.
But don't just read about us, the best way to get to know us is to come to our large group, Praxis, for a time of musical worship, prayer and biblical teaching that is applicable to our lives as college students.
Also, consider becoming part of a small group in your dorm or apartment or on campus where you can get to know people more intimately, take time to look at passages from the Bible, and discuss their original meaning and their relevance for us today.
Finally, we hold a conference event off-campus every quarter. Check out our upcoming events.
